Codem Inc. — U.S. Privacy Notice Supplement
This U.S. Privacy Notice Supplement ("U.S. Supplement") applies if you are a resident of the United States and supplements the general Codem Privacy Policy, which continues to apply to you. Where this U.S. Supplement and the general Policy conflict, this U.S. Supplement controls for U.S. residents.
1. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
1.1 Categories of Personal Information
In the 12 months preceding the effective date of this Supplement, Codem collected the following categories of personal information (as defined by the CCPA/CPRA) through the Site:
- Identifiers (name, email address, phone number, IP address)
- Commercial information (inquiries, services requested)
- Internet or other electronic network activity information (browsing and usage data, cookie identifiers)
- Professional or employment-related information (job title, company, and, for job applicants, resume/CV and work history)
Codem collected these categories for the business purposes described in Section 3 of the general Privacy Policy (responding to inquiries, operating the Site, analytics, marketing with consent, and recruiting), and disclosed them to the service providers described in Section 5 of the general Privacy Policy. Codem did not sell or share (as defined under the CCPA/CPRA) personal information in that period, and does not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring an opt-out.
1.2 Your California Rights
California residents have the right to:
- Know/access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, used, and disclosed about you
- Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — Codem does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so no action is required, but you may still submit a request
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information — not applicable, as we do not collect sensitive personal information through the Site
- Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
- Appeal a denied request
To submit a request, contact us with "California Privacy Request" in the subject line. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will verify your identity using the information reasonably available to us before responding, and will respond within the timeframes required by law.
1.3 Notice of Financial Incentives
Codem does not currently offer any financial incentive, discount, or other benefit in exchange for the collection, sale, or retention of personal information.
2. Other U.S. State Privacy Laws
If you are a resident of a state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law — for example, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Maryland, Rhode Island, or Kentucky — you may have similar rights, which generally include the right to:
- Confirm whether we process your personal information, and access it
- Correct inaccuracies in your personal information
- Delete your personal information
- Obtain a portable copy of your personal information
- Opt out of the processing of your personal information for targeted advertising, the sale of personal information, or profiling in furtherance of certain automated decisions
- Appeal a denial of a rights request in states that provide an appeal process
Codem does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising as those terms are defined under these state laws. You can exercise your rights by contacting us. We will respond within the timeframe required by the applicable state law, and, where a state law provides an appeal right, we will explain how to appeal a denied request in our response.
3. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal or the Global Privacy Control ("GPC"). Because there is no accepted industry standard for responding to "Do Not Track" signals, the Site does not currently respond to them. Where required by applicable state law, we treat a detected GPC signal as a valid consumer request to opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information, or targeted advertising, for the browser and device on which it is set.
